Very nice rooms, and spacious common areas. Breakfast was good. Lots of bread to choose from. We were there on a Sunday night, so it was very quiet, and not quite the B&B experience we were hoping for. No fault of the establishment - just a slow night. Only criticisms is the shower appeared to be set to deny really hot water, and coffee wasn't available until 8:30 am. Nice place though, with some beautiful views. Staff was very accommodating, and late afternoon hors d'oeuvres with homemade apple juice were excellent. Location was very convenient - it's just a short walk down the hill to Julian.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a friend hello and smile. Everything was explained thoroughly and we were given our keys. Our room was very clean and lovely. Every evening they have happy hour with a complimentary appetizer and 2 glasses of wine. In the morning there was a lovely breakfast spread. We were also given a picnic basket to have lunch one day of our stay. All the shops and restaurants are very close by. One of the restaurants gave us a complimentary appetizer because we mentioned our stay at Orchard Hill Inn. There is a game room for all guests to use, we started a puzzle that we worked on each night and no one messed it up. Overall it was a very nice stay.
Wonderfully quiet, short walk to town, fantastic food, caring staff. We love our weekend away and look forward to them each year.
Great Inn to stay. Attention to detail both in decor and service are unsurpassed. Love this place. Will make many more reservations.
A little pricier than the other hotels in town, but worth it. Relaxing ambiance, clean rooms, and great breakfast. Love the VHS collection of old movies.
